The last leg of France before we get to Spain driving to and through the Pyrenees. Mostly pictures today.

The road is in the middle around the curve.

The village of Cucugnan with it’s windmill at the top.

Chateau de Queribus in the distance.

On the path walking up to the castle. More explanation in the next post.

Thanks for taking us along. I so enjoy all the photos! By the way, there is one dog breed whose name I have the hardest time remembering - the Great Pyrenees. I always have to start with, 'I know it's a mountain range in northern Spain' and work from there. So odd, I know. Maybe now it will stick! :-)
Thank you for taking us through the Pyrenees - always wanted to go there, but we were only in Malaga (S. coast) Love the 2nd pic - so picturesque and typical for an old European scene! If I don't get to your blog before, have a merry Christmas, Jane!
What memories this brings back. I have an old photo where we are on a coach in a 3 mile queue waiting to cross the border in 1961.
When we got there my passport was with the courier on another coach(we had been asked to change coaches in France as we were lone travellers and stopping at Calella de la Costa.) A very traumatic trip from start to finish that is on my blog under 'Travel'. Great photos.
All of these places look wonderful, I really must go and visit some of them.
Interesting to see subtle changes to the buildings and there is no doubting that you are in the Pyrenees now.
